We are in our 30s and have a kid. Our ideal atmosphere will not be for everyone. Things we like:
This place was PACKED the day we went. It was a nice warm day and they had fires going, and lots of outdoor space. Because it was so busy when we first arrived we sat inside, which was perfect. There were some benches and high-top tables in addition to the bar area. Then the crowd started to clear and we moved outdoors. Grist House allows dogs and this was by far the highlight for our kiddo. Another highlight was the changing table in the bathroom! It was unexpected and very welcome. Some things to be aware of parking for this brewery is just in town wherever you can find a spot and because it was so busy the bathrooms needed a little love, otherwise it was a very fun experience.
Yellow Bridge is located in Delmont, PA. The vibe at this brewery was very calm and relaxed. They had a nice bar area with tables and a separate semi-private room with electronic darts. Parking was easy and there was a changing table in the bathroom. When we arrived around 8PM on a Saturday night the bar was full, but plenty of tables were available. The bartender was very friendly and they offered half pours, which is always great for trying new things.
This place is located in Greensburg, PA. It was incredibly busy. They had an event happening and the Cousin's Maine Lobster Food Truck really attracted a crowd. Seating was limited and they weren't doing flights because of the crowd. The parking lot was at or near capacity the whole time we were there. Also there were no changing tables in the bathrooms. This place was fun, but was kind of a throwback to a college bar. The beer was served in plastic cups. We sat in folding metal chairs. There were pinball machines and other games. Lastly there was a jukebox that was spouting out some crazy jams.
The location was great. The staff was very friendly. We had a group of 11 with 2 toddlers and had the perfect corner bench seating arrangement. Also, there was live music. Our little guy loved dancing and even tipped the musician a dollar during a song. Bier's Pub doesn't take reservations, but they did try to save us a table knowing that our large group was coming. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but street parking is always the luck of the draw. We didn't use the bathroom so I am not sure if there was a changing table. We were there to drink beer, but the $3 sangria special was really hard to pass up.
The location was great. The seating arrangement for our group of 5 was not great.. There were 2 low tables. The rest of the seating was high top tables and chairs. These tables were round and only held 4 chairs comfortably. Putting a 2.5 year old in a bar chair is like playing a game of chance that will always result in a loss, it is just a matter of time. Thankfully he never fell, but it was a job to watch him. The bathrooms were clean, but they required a code to enter and there was no changing table. Circling back to the location, this brewery is clearly aiming for the local hotel guests and downtown workers - not designed for toddlers and that's just OK.
This place was huge and had a great parking lot. It has 2 floors with multiple bars, tables, and to-go bottles. The bathrooms were clean and they had a changing table! One issue was the noise. The place was packed, and it was oppressively loud. Carrying on a conversation was very challenging and by the time we got back to the car several people mentioned that their ears were ringing. Going at 7pm on a Saturday night was clearly peak time. A visit during a less busy time would be perfectly pleasant.
The inside was rustic with an industrial feel. They have a great outdoor space, that will be lovely in warmer weather. The bar was kind of small but their were lots of tables and other seating options. Also the bathrooms were the cleanest yet, but no changing table.
Crazy busy! This place was packed when we went. Seating was tight and it was tough to get around. Somehow though the place wasn't too loud, which was great. It has a neat modern industrial feel. We didn't find a changing table in the downstairs bathroom, but there was a set of steps for our kiddo to reach the sink.
Big and Open. Lots of tables and chairs, which are great. The decor is rustic and cool. We were able to sit in a side room which allowed our toddler to be a toddler and not bother anyone. We did not use the bathroom at Brew Gentlemen so I am not sure if there is a changing table.
This place has a cool funky vibe. Everyone was friendly. The seating options were varied and abundant. Parking was great. Ordering was simple and this was the only place so far that had a changing table!!! This was our kiddos favorite place so far, because he got to play 'funky robots' aka Rock'em Sock'em Robots.
This was more of a restaurant than we expected. A hostess greeted you at the door. We waited in the window by the bar for a table. The place was very busy and not great for kids. Definitely no changing table in the bathroom. Parking in Lawrenceville is always a challenge, but to be expected. This place would make for a lovely date night, but was not ideal for our party of 3.
